Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2026
Figure is an early-stage beta product. We're a small team building in the open, and our features and data practices may change as the product develops. This policy is written in plain language rather than exhaustive legal boilerplate, and it's not legal advice. We'll update it as things change.
Affiliate disclosure
Figure earns commission on qualifying purchases made through product links in the app. We participate in affiliate programs including Rakuten Advertising, CJ Affiliate, Impact, Awin, and the ASOS affiliate program. This comes at no additional cost to you — you pay the same price you would otherwise. Commission does not determine whether an item is recommended to you; recommendations are generated from your assessment results.
1. What we collect
- Account information. Your email address and authentication details when you create an account (including via Google sign-in).
- Assessment answers. Your responses to the color season, Kibbe body type, style archetype, and skin profile questionnaires, plus the results we generate from them.
- Photos you choose to upload. For the color season, Kibbe, and skincare assessments you may optionally upload photos. See section 2 for exactly how these are handled.
- Product interactions. Items you save, hide, or give thumbs up/down feedback on, so we can improve your recommendations.
- Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to record events such as page views, assessment completions, and product clicks. This helps us understand which parts of the app are useful.
2. How photos are handled
Photos are optional. Every assessment in Figure can be completed with questionnaire answers alone, and the app works without uploading anything.
- When you upload a photo for analysis, the image is sent to Anthropic's Claude API, which analyzes it and returns observations (for example, undertone cues, silhouette lines, or skin zone observations).
- Photos are not stored by default. By default an uploaded photo is used for that single analysis and is not retained by us.
- Storage only happens if you explicitly opt in using the consent toggle shown in each assessment before you upload.
- If you do opt in, stored photos are private to your account, protected by row-level security rules so other users cannot access them, and you can delete them at any time from within the app.
3. Third-party services
Figure relies on a small number of service providers:
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and (if you opt in) photo storage.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — performs the AI analysis of photos and assessment inputs.
- ASOS and Rakuten-network product APIs — provide product catalog data. We send search queries derived from your style results (for example, "midi dress, navy"); we do not send your personal information, account details, or photos to these services.
- Google Analytics 4 — usage analytics as described above.
Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing data they receive from us.
4. How we use your information
We use your data to run the service: generate your style, color, and skincare results, tailor product recommendations, remember your preferences, keep your account secure, and understand how the app is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We don't share your assessment results, photos, or account information for anyone else's advertising purposes.
5. Your rights and choices
- Delete stored photos at any time from within the app, without deleting the rest of your account.
- Request account and data deletion — email us at privacy@figuremeout.life and we'll delete your account and associated data.
- Request a copy or correction of the information we hold about you, using the same address.
- Opt out of analytics using standard browser controls or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, authenticated access, and row-level database security so that your data is only readable by your account. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's privacy
Figure is not directed at children. It is intended for users aged 16 and over (13 and over where permitted by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under those ages. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
Because Figure is in beta, our data practices may evolve. If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you — by email or an in-app notice — before or when the changes take effect, and we'll update the "last updated" date above.
